Starting with a thrown cylinder, I flared out the rim to make a trumpet shape. When it was leather-hard, I cut in a spiral decoration which I'm very fond of doing. The glaze is a glossy, lustre green which gives interesting effects over the cuts.

A delicate, flaring vase. height 110mm, mouth 90mm.
Decorated with an incised spiral and a pretty, glossy green glaze which breaks over the spiral and rim with a paler green matte finish.
