Each piece is inspired by nature, animals birds and plants, my ceramics are made starting with a bag of clay right through two firings and each is illustrated by hand using professional ceramic colours.
The seconds sale pieces available for the folksy seconds sale, have some imperfections, or are samples or ideas that have not been carried through fully, yet!

Additional terms
Items purchased as part of the Folksy Seconds Sale on 31st October 2022 are accepted as imperfect in some way, either they have dimples or other issues in the glazed decoration or base ceramic or are samples or one offs. Perfectly Imperfect but not second rate! They will come gift wrapped just the same as perfect pieces on other listings. Please understand that they cannot be returned for a refund. By purchasing the items you recognise this situation.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Some pieces will be one of a kind and so until you have completed your purchase anyone else could beat you to it at the checkout. For this reason, if you want to be sure of getting something please complete the purchase and I will refund any postage overage, just drop me a line to let me know which order numbers you’d like me to join up and then I can send orders together.
There are three main types of ‘seconds’ from across my ranges of animals, plants and birds and some things you will never have seen online.
What makes them seconds or samples?
Due to the scale of the sale I can't list exactly why each piece is in this section but they fall into three categories, please check the images as they form part of the description:
1. Some with glaze imperfections or brush strokes that haven't quite gone as I wanted, some may have small cracks, all domestic ware is usable.
2. Some of them are old stock or ends of lines (nothing wrong with them as such, just dated in the past few years or it might be that I have varied the design)
3. Some are samples and things I have tried out but haven't continued to produce.
Each is handmade, individually illustrated and loved- just looking for a new home
