Full description
"They Dance by the Light of the Moon" is a unique handstitched and embroidered fabric collage. Its title is a line taken from one of my favourite poems, "The Owl and the Pussycat". Its harvest colour palette makes it an ideal partner work to "Flax Seeds", also available in my shop.
To create this work, I have gathered snippets of some of my favourite fabrics, bringing them to life with hand-embroidered embellishment. Stars, seedstitch and kantha-style stitches give this piece the comforting feel of a miniature quilt.
The colour palette of this gentle work will warm the space in which it sits. A framed work, it is ready for you to display or gift to a loved one. This piece has wide appeal - a child's nursery or playroom; a touch of whimsy in the adult world. Its comforting textures invite your gaze. As you look, you will find a cat, moon-shapes, stars & flowers.
Your work is mounted and presented in white 6" square, premium glazed box frame - this allows the picture's texture space to bloom. The frame is suitable for wall or desk display.
