Sapphire and oxidised silver stacking ring.
A rectangular rose cut sapphire has been simply set in a thick silver rub over setting. The colour of this stone is a muted brown with a greenish hue, so difficult to describe. The ring shank is made from square profile wire that has been stamped with little notches. U.K. size N
A fine ring, the shank is only 1.5mm wide allowing it to be stacked with other slim bands, should you wish. The silver has been oxidised dark, but rubbed back bright around the stone.
The stone is an opaque warm brown, grey, green colour, it looks different colours in different light, look at the photos taken in both natural and under electric light. The large facets catch the light and add a subtle sparkle. The stone with setting measures about 12mm x 9.5mm.
