The Cornish coastline and the industrial mining heritage found around the area of Penwith and Botallack is the source of inspiration for this body of work. Colours of orange and green reflect the lichen and flora of the landscape, along with the turquoise of the Atlantic sea. The shape of the vases are influenced by the robust nature of the engine houses found around the derelict mining sites.
