I have a love of coin collecting and metal detecting and enjoy the challenge of making a replica of a range of coins into stone carvings. Something that will last for a long time - like the coins themselves.

Full description

A King Charles I Scottish coin carved into weathered stone showing thistle and crown. Ideal gift for a coin collector, historian or metal detectorist. Price includes delivery of this heavy item.

This unique, one off piece of art, is hand carved using traditional methods with hammer and chisel. It is made from a reclaimed piece of stone from a local quarry which is dark and weathered around the edges. I love the definition of the carved coin against the rough background.

This can be displayed outside or incorporated into a wall or garden feature etc. Alternatively some buyers have made an inside display around a fire place, office or conservatory. Note the size and weight of this item.

I can consider commissions of any coin - maybe one from your own collection - please message me to discuss.

You can watch me carving some of my artworks on my Youtube channel Patlawstonecarvings

Size approximately 60cm x 39cm x 9cm. Coin flan size/diameter 22cm, Weight 19Kg

The price includes the courier service which is usually via UPS or ParcelForce.
