Wouldn't it be lovely to wake up to the sun rising over hills. If you’re not lucky enough to have that outlook, which I’m not, why not have a sunrise panel to hang in and brighten your window whatever the weather?
I have used 8 different types of green stained glass for the hills which have a lovely mix of textures and 2 types of yellow glass for the sun and sun rays.
Each piece of glass has been hand cut, ground, washed, foiled and soldered together before being washed again and polished. I have soldered twisted wire to the 4 sides of the panel to give it an attractive border and added strength and have applied a patina to blacken the solder on this panel. A length of fishing line has been attached for hanging purposes.
I will supply a window hook so it can be hung as soon as received but please remember to wet before pushing firmly o to the window. Please remember to wet the plunger before you push it firmly onto the window.
This panel is larger than the normal sunrise panel I make and measures 13cms wide x 26cms high excluding the hanging rings.
