After seeing a Hoopoe for the first time close to home in 2021 I was inspired to draw this striking bird. I'm also a keen wildlife photographer and was able to use one of my own photos as a reference for producing the drawing.

A professional print of my original Hoopoe pencil illustration. A favourite amongst birdwatchers and photographers, the Hoopoe is a striking avian visitor to the UK and inspired me to depict it in a graphite and coloured pencil drawing. This is a print of that original drawing, printed onto high-quality paper made from recycled single-use takeaway cups. It is provided unmounted and unframed, leaving you with the choice of how best you'd like to display it.
I always try to select more sustainable options when producing and posting my products:
- The design is printed onto paper made from recycled single-use cups, using environmentally-friendly toners
- The envelope I send it in is recycled, recyclable, plastic free and made in the UK
- The clear sleeve protecting the print inside the envelope is made in the UK, plastic free and compostable
In case you're wondering, the book behind the print in the photos is 'The Encyclopedia of British Birds', published in 1955
