Wrong Side of Sol presents the art of crochet - beautiful crochet with vibrant colour combinations and eye-catching design. All my artworks are unique.
This piece has been such a journey of transformation which has been so interesting to watch!
It started with the thought of orange lightening-like strikes into the middle. As you can see, it’s ended with the yellow forming the pattern and the orange as the filler! I’ve included the photos of its progression, and coming into life as it now exists, so that you can see it’s progression.
AND THEN the back of the work turned out to be totally AMAZING! Rather than hiding it by mounting the piece in a frame, I made it so either side could be displayed depending on your preference or mood!
This one of a kind, serendipitous little amble into colour and motifs, has produced an intriguing item which is so lovely to look at! Truly mesmerising!

This unique, swirly piece of gorgeousness can be displayed so you can view either the right or wrong side of the crochet, because the ‘wrong’ side was just so damn good to look at!
Wrong Side of Sol presents this item as the perfect example of what I like to do with my work - I play with the colours and form to see where they take me!
Measuring at 22cm this square has a handmade frame, comprised of dowelling rods, which allows it to be stood on the mantel or hung if you wish.
