I just love the ballet and the Nutcracker is such a magical story, so this fabric was a must!

Full description
Inspired by Tchaikovsky’s ballet The Nutcracker, are these cute statement fabric button earrings!
Created from 100% cotton fabric collection called Holiday Wonder, it features Nutcracker soldiers in a green uniform with pink epaulettes and a sprig of holly in their hats.
For these statement earrings, I've selected faces of two Nutcracker soldiers each with well-known goatee type beard and bushy moustache, then created 28mm fabric flat buttons, adding toy filling to the front for a nice dome.
A circle of (FSC approved) high quality plywood was secured in the back recess of the button and hand painted with a metallic rich green artist acrylic paint. After two coats of this luscious paint, a layer of clear acrylic varnish was added protection.
Gold plated heart shaped bails were then secured to the back of each earring and I’ve added gold-plated stainless steel earring hooks with scroll detail - perfect for those with sensitive skin as it is hypoallergenic.
The approximate drop length of these stunning statement earrings is approximately 5.3cm. They are an unusual festive look and are bright and colourful to cheer up the winter weather.
