Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop!
I've been making for others since 2013 and if you'd like to see what my customers have said about my work since then (before I opened up here on Folksy), you can read more than 1,000 reviews on my web site: http://www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk/ (click 'Reviews' on the bar at the top of the page).
In addition to the UK, I'm happy to ship most items to the US, Canada, Japan and Australia - just message me for a shipping quotation if a shipping price isn't shown against an item you're interested in.
Many of the pieces I make are made to order and the shipping time is a 'worse case scenario' estimate - I will often make and send items quicker than indicated, although things do sometimes slow down at busy times. If you want something urgently, just message me and I'll confirm if I can meet your deadline. I send most of my items via Royal Mail's Tracked 48 service, unless otherwise indicated on the item's listing.
I'm more active on Instagram than anywhere else: https://www.instagram.com/the_crimson_rabbit/ but you can always find me online elsewhere: my blog is here: www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk, my facebook page here: www.facebook.com/thecrimsonrabbitpage and my Pinterest addiction is evidenced here: http://www.pinterest.com/crimsonrabbit/

If you do a lot of sock knitting, you're probably very familiar with the idea of the dpn cosy, but many knitters (including me until not that long ago!) don't know about these fabulous little holders for work in progress on double points. I used to squish up my knitting on the needles and then drop it into a project bag where I could accidentally knock some of the stitches off the needles or, get everything tangled up in yarn or other things I had in the bag - very irritating. With these holders, your needles and stitches are safely tucked away until you open the holder to take them out and restart your knitting.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
If you've ever opened a knitting bag to find your double-pointed needles tangled in yarn, stitches sliding off the ends, or your carefully knitted sock squashed into a corner, you'll understand why DPN cosies have developed such a loyal following amongst knitters.
For knitters who haven't yet discovered them, these clever little holders keep both needles and stitches safely tucked away between knitting sessions, making them a wonderfully practical gift for any sock knitter or lover of double-pointed needles.
This cosy is made using a beautiful Kokka cotton fabric called 'Magical Dreams - Natural Feeling'. Set against a rich black background, the print features a charming woodland scene filled with trees and animals, highlighted with touches of metallic silver. I've paired it with matt black Essex Linen and silver press studs for a timeless look that knitters seem to love.
The outer is reinforced with woven cotton interfacing and padded with a layer of fleece to help protect your needles while travelling in a project bag.
The cosy is available in two sizes to fit either 6-inch or 8-inch double-pointed needles. An optional third snap can be added to the 8-inch version, allowing it to be used with circular needles for magic loop knitting. Simply tuck the needle tips into the left side of the cosy and secure a loop of the cable around the additional snap.
Whether you're treating yourself or buying for a knitting friend, this is one of those small but genuinely useful accessories that quickly becomes part of every knitting project.
As each cosy is handmade, fabric placement will vary slightly from the photographs, making every one unique.
