This was a labour of love, made over two separate firings taking 24hrs each and then a further 4 hours of coldworking by hand to finish - check out my Instagram reels or TikTok to see a video of the process!
The second firing required me to watch over it, checking regularly to ensure it didn’t drop too far through the mould. It’s a lovely little square vase measuring approximately 75mm high, 90mm wide and 106mm diagonally rim to rim. It’s particularly pretty with a tea light candle inside, but is also perfect as a peanut or sweet dish.
You should note that in the difficult process of removing the excess glass, a small chip on the rim was created, which is highlighted in one of the pictures. I have priced this item to take this into account, meaning you get a unique piece of handmade glass at an exceptionally cheap price, given the hours of work put into creating it.
