Badalassi Carlo tannery in Tuscany has been producing high quality vegetable tanned leather for over 40 years. This is a piece of their "Pueblo" leather, in Cognac. It has a really unusual hand-finished textured surface, which seems slightly rough to begin with. As the leather ages and weathers, the waxes in the leather produce a smooth and beautiful surface, that will last for years.
I have used this superb leather to make this A5 notebook cover. It would make a wonderful and luxurious gift for a really special person - or something very special for yourself.

Full description
A beautiful wrap-over notebook cover, for three notebooks up to A5 size.
High quality Italian leather by Badalassi, in cognac tan colour, with a slightly rough texture. The leather will soften and become smooth with use and age.
The book cover has a wrap-over flap on the right side, with rounded corners for neatness and to avoid them getting dog-eared.
A fine leather strip wraps round the cover and tucks in, to keep the cover closed.
The notebooks are secured by three straps of elastic, with an elastic page marker. The page marker has a glass bead trim.
An A5 Kraft notebook is included, with cream lined pages of 120gsm paper. Additional notebooks are available, with various types of paper inside.
You can have any combination of notebooks inside - plain or lined notepaper, squared or dotted paper, sketch paper, in sizes up to A5.
The journal cover should last for years and you can change and replace the notebooks inside whenever you wish.
Should the elastic become too stretchy, or wear out, it can easily be replaced with a new piece.
