A3 (29.7cm x 42 cm) screen-print entitled 'Sheffield City View No.10' printed in warm grey.
The print started out as a linocut, and then I transferred the image to a silk-screen to complete the hand-printed edition.
To celebrate my tenth Sheffield print, I thought I would dedicate it to a part of the city that I'm very fond of, being Kelham Island. Kelham is dense with historic interest, with its industrial past in steel and cutlery manufacture still evident with the many Victorian mills still standing, and refashioned as factories, studios, food businesses and living spaces. There are some great pubs in the area too, and a brilliant museum too!
My print is actually a view from the back of the museum grounds, looking up the River Don with Kelham Weir in the foreground, towards Ball Street Bridge and the mills buildings beyond.
Warm grey System 3 ink on off-white 220gsm acid-free paper. From an edition of 50, hand-signed, titled and numbered.
The print image measures H25xW18cm.
The paper measures H29.7xW42cm.
Printed by myself in my studio in Sheffield, UK. Each one is slightly different, as is the nature with screen-prints.
All prints will be posted securely in a card tube and sent by first-class post (UK) or Airmail (rest of the world).
