I have been knitting for longer than I care to remember. My mother taught me when I was 5. I love it. It's therapeutic, creative, meditative, rewarding, thoroughly enjoyable, portable.... I knit at every possible opportunity.
After years of making myself far too many jumpers I made a doll for my granddaughter, then more for private and public sales, and off I went! More and more until it became a bit of an obsession. I just love the wool I knit with, the colours and textures, and even the gorgeous soft carded lambswool I fill them with.
My items have no loose parts and have passed the CE and UKCA tests
i made the first of these dolls for my granddaughter, then I got some orders as they are so adorable and soft. Lovely soft wool body and dress, and wool blend hair. Really cosy and cuddly. I love creating them and I have lots of beautiful different colours for their dresses

Full description
This is a gorgeous black African doll hand-made by me, stitch by stitch (not on a machine). She is made in lovely soft pure wool and she is stuffed with beautiful lambswool. Her pretty removable dress is 100% pure cotton and her hair is a soft wool/blend. Each of my dolls and bears are made individually, each one taking me well over a good two days to produce. This little girl is about 30cm (12") tall. She can be gently washed by hand and then squeezed back into shape, or gently wiped down with a damp cloth.
