I thought I would do my own take on a moongazing hare and imagined him as an Astronomer with a steampunky vibe!

Full description
Moongazing hare, Handmade collectible, Needle felted hare, Animal figurine, Art Doll, Soft Sculpture, Fibre Art
Approximately 7.5 inches tall
Harrison comes from a long line of Moongazing, Astronomer Hares. His trusty telescope has been passed down through the generations and he is now the proud owner of this antique (and slightly shonky) precious instrument. If you're looking very carefully, you might spot this intrepid little hare on moonlit nights as he scales the hills armed with his star maps (and dandelion sandwiches) tucked safely into his bag, and his special moon gazing telescope at the ready.
Harrison is a unique, quirky OOAK ornament. He is handmade using the art of needle felting - layers of wool gradually built up and wrapped and sculpted over a wire armature using barbed needles to create form and details. His eyes are amber glass, I have made his little brown boots and telescope from polymer clay and he carries a felt bag with a ribbon strap containing his star maps rolled up and secured with embroidery thread (these can be removed if you want to insert your own tiny treasures). His blue jumper is also needle felted and I have sewn his funky trousers in wool tweed with a little button attached. His clothes are not removeable. He will stand on his own with some gentle adjustment but if you would like him to have more stability he can be fixed to a base.
This is not a toy and is intended as an ornament. Please keep out of reach of children and pets.
