Welcome to Jackdaw Bindery - thank you so much for visiting! Here you will find a wonderful selection of hand-bound soft cover leather and cork wrap journals and sketchbooks, created using a range of hand selected materials. Each and every item that you find in my shop has been hand-bound by myself in my little studio in West Ashling, West Sussex on the South Coast of England.
All of the leather I use have been sourced as a by-product from the upholstery and automotive trade which may otherwise end up as waste. If you have an idea for a custom book, I would love work with you to create the perfect handbound journal for your needs, just get in touch and we can go from there!

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Albeit teeny tiny, this journal pendant is fully functional, and the beautiful cotton rag paper is great for sketching, drawing and print making, providing you have small enough tools! A wonderful rustic gift for artists and book lovers!
Each mini journal contains 64 sides of beautiful handmade 100gsm cotton rag paper, hand torn to size. Each page measures approximately 1" tall X 3/4" wide. When the book is closed, the pendant measures approximately 1 1/4" tall X 1" wide X 1/2" deep. The pages are hand bound into a tiny leather cover in your choice of colour, using waxed linen thread. The journal hangs from a stainless steel chain with an optional 2" extender chain and secures with a lobster clasp. For your reference, the necklace in the image being worn hangs from a 20" chain.
Each tiny journal necklace will come with a black organza bag for gift giving and storage. Remember, I am a book - please don't shower with me. I'm also not a fan of rain, perfume or exercise!
Please note, some of my standard leather colours are unavailable for these little book pendants as they're simply too thick for such a tiny journal. If you can't find the colour you'd like in the drop down, this is the reason why!
