Full description
A beautiful plant holder depicting a setting sun over the ocean. Made with red, yellow and orange textured glass for the sun with mottled blue green opaque glass, blue water glass and streaky green glass for the sea with pieces of mirror interspersed to add shimmery reflections.
Created using a mixture of new and antique glass each piece has been hand cut to shape and then fitted into place using lead came with interlocking pieces which have been copper foiled before being soldered together and finished with a surrounding section of lead came. The asymmetric plant holder is made from clear glass and is soldered in place leaving gaps for drainage when watering. Finished with a copper patina polished and sealed with silicon wax.
Looks great hanging on a wall indoors or outside in the garden. The perfect gift for gardeners, sea lovers or as a third year anniversary present.
Size is approx. 8 x 5 x 1" and it hangs from a copper wire loop.
The plant is for display purposes only as it might not survive posting. I've used stones in the planter but it can also be used for air plants.
