A Spring themed wreath - Robin's Nest in the Ivy.
A Nest is nestled within Ivy and a Robin sits above.
The base of the Spring wreath is a wire hoop and I've wrapped wool fibres around this in blue and green. Attached to this base is a nest. Inside are three blue speckled eggs. Ivy runs under and up one side where a Robin is attached.
The Ivy, nest, eggs and robin are made from wool fibres and needle felted into the shape. I've add a couple if real twigs from my garden to give some extra texture. The nest and the robin are attached to the wool background with a few large sewing stitches. The eggs are loose in the nest.
A lovely idea for a baby shower gift, a new baby gift or just to decorate your own home. It would be a lovely Spring decoration you can leave up throughout the year.
Measures 22 cms across.
