Full description
This lovely silk textile picture has been created using silk fabric and woollen fibres. The picture is a landscape of distant mountains across the sea. It has been created by needle felting strips of coloured silk fabrics and various silk and woollen fibres onto a piece of backing felt. This needle felting process binds the fabric and fibres to the backing felt without the need for stitching and also creates a gorgeous texture to the picture. A few daisies have been added to the foreground using hand embroidery.
The final piece has been mounted onto a piece of card and is supplied with an 8" x 8" white card mount with a picture area of 4" x 4" as shown.
The final photograph illustrates how the picture might look when framed but the frame is not included in the listing.
