PLEASE NOTE
I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things that have been discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Shards Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each titled piece comes with a short bio of where the ceramic came from, known history, original information and when the artwork was created. Some ceramics collected are used as found, while others are cut randomly which will shape the final picture. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Created from ceramic discovered in
charity Shop Penrith October 2021
Re-Created into Earrings October 2021
I visited Penrith on 13th October, a lovely market town in Cumbria where I found some interesting pieces of ceramic in the local charity shops. Some were rescue plates from odds and ends boxes, cracked or badly damaged and others were stand out pieces, slightly damaged and perfect for a new project.
Amongst these pieces was a large broken blue and white plate with a deep crack running across the entire plate. I like to allow things to naturally form so gently tapped the plate which then broke along the crack as expected but also broke into random shapes.
These earrings are made from the centre part of the plate, deep rich blue, small and chunky. Hanging on Sterling Silver 925 hooks and rings, the shards don’t always stay forward facing, they twist and catch the light.
Each earrings measures approximately 17 mm x 11 mm (widest) x 4mm
Delivered in gift box, gift bag made from recycled materials and comes with a short bio.
