I'm selling off some of my collection of unusual beads to make some space in my workshop, so if you love beads, please take a look

These African beads bring a burst of African sunshine.
They are so colourful and the painted glass ones look gorgeous next to the brass ones.

Full description

Most of these beads were made in Ghana by recycling old glass bottles, other glass and brass. The central bead is a clay spinning whorl, made to put on the end of a stick and used to spin cotton.

Background: The 'lost wax method of brass bead making means that each individual bead is unique. The long glass beads are called Krobo beads and have been made in Ghana for centuries in small quantities in local villages, - not in factories! The cord is made with rubber, but looks like leather. The clasp is also handmade in Ghana.

One of a Kind: As these are handmade African beads, you will be wearing a collection of small works of art - and you won't see another one quite like it.

Size: It is 20"" long.

Presentation: Your necklace will be sent in a presentation bag and a mailing box.

Gifts: I can send to another address and include a handwritten message if requested.

Postage: I will post first class and signed for, usually within 24 hours.

Environment: All of my outer packaging is either recycled or reusable.
