This is the first design I came up with when I started painting furniture. I remember I just saw this image of a star with many points in my mind, surrounded by colour and detail and I had to get it out there. The first one I painted was in rainbow colour, but I realised that the design could be done using different shades of the same colours, so I set about experimenting with colour and this is the result. Each one I paint is different as I will use slightly different colours each time and often mix up my own rather than paint straight from the tin, making each piece unique.
