These 5x7 digital prints were made using images of my original textile pieces, based on old family photos of our local area. They feature Tynemouth Plaza, Tynemouth boating lake and the old mill which gave Billy Mill its name. The original photos were taken around the late 1950s!

Each print comes cello wrapped with grey board, to keep it flat in transit. They are sold unframed. The prints all have plenty of white around the main image which means you have the option of framing them as they are, or adding a mount.

Much of my work is developed from vintage treasures I find or are passed down and this is no exception. The printed images which form the central focus of these landscape prints were taken by my Grandad, who i never really knew. I love bringing these tiny 1950's photographs back to life again by incorporating colour and stitch, so they can once again be appreciated. Both Tynemouth Plaza and Billy's Mill are no longer there, so this is a lovely nod to our local history.
