Flower pressing is a centuries old preservation technique, it was often used to create a collection of plants for scientific study known as a herbarium.

Nature is timeless, these flower pressings will fit into any style of home and are particularly well suited to north facing walls, lighting up the space and providing an unusual and attractive focal point.

Full description

Nature’s botanical art, two flowering stems of larkspur (Delphinium consolida) gathered from our garden and preserved using the traditional method of flower pressing. Once dried, the flowers are carefully positioned and fixed onto quality, acid-free watercolour paper. Each one is finished with the plant’s common and latin name inscribed in fine handwriting.

Pressing captures the beauty of each individual plant, its shape, flowers and leaves become frozen in a moment of time so that you can enjoy them all year round.

We advise keeping pressed flowers away from direct sunlight to prevent them fading quickly. They will gradually lose some colour over time but this is a natural process and doesn’t detract from their beauty, if anything it adds to the delicate, ethereal quality of the pressed plant.

We include information about each plant we press and how to look after your specimen.
