INTERNATIONAL POST - I'm in the process of updating postage for the US and have temporarily removed it from my listings whilst I recalculate the prices to include the new taxes and handling fees which have to be paid prior to my items entering the US. The gorgeous hand dyed blue faced Leicester yarn I used for her hair. I wanted to achieve a modern doll full of personality, bright, vivacious yet also often timid in personality, Marianne is just how I imagined she would be.

Cloth doll, a beautiful hand embroidered collectable doll.
Marianne, standing at 13'5" tall, handmade from doll velour in doll face pink.
Her features have been hand embroidered with her lovely green eyes taking 6 hours to perfect. Hand embroidered trailing flowers to her face and hands in greens and blues compliment and match her attire.
I made a wig cap by making a twisted cord in green then coiling and sewing to her scalp as a base for her lovely thick hair. Her hair was made from hand dyed Blue Faced Leicester Yarn in greens with hints of mink, grey and dull pink by cutting into lengths then individually hooking each piece to the wig cap. A long process but one which gives lovely results and hides the scalp from showing through the hair.
A modern girl, Marianne has been a labour of love, full of personality, totally unique and a trend setter, she is fully jointed with cotter pin fitments to her neck, arms and legs making her fully poseable.
Marianne wears teal green trousers, tucked into her leather look dark brown boots. A tunic style lined dress with long sleeves and which fastens to the centre back in a lovely moda print fabric in ochre with teal green and blue print.
Her hand knitted cardigan was made from riot yarn in rich colours of blue, greens and gold.
Finished with a little hand embroidered wool felt heart in teal and her name on a wooden tag.
Marianne has been designed as an adult collectable, she is not suitable for children under 14.
