The idea is to create something new from old, the finished piece isn't meant to be perfect. Instead, retain marks, stains and scratches, part of the original character of the ceramic. All Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed and may also have imperfections or scratches.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.

Additional terms
All ceramic personally collected from river banks, charity shops, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each item comes with a short bio. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.

Created from ceramic discovered in
Thorsgill Beck, Barnard Castle July 2021
Re-Created into Earrings March 2026
In July 2021 while out walking Thorsgill Beck, River Tees, Barnard Castle, Co Durham I came across a small concentration of broken bits of pottery.
I found a very damaged side of a small pot, blue and white pattern. The shard was stained and very cracked. It looked so fragile that I didn’t think it would be able to be used. However, after cleaning and fully drying out I was able to clip the piece which broke into these two distinctive shapes. I gently sanded the sharp edges, only a little bit of glaze remains on the front and back glaze has worn away. Sealed with Eco Friendly Matte Sealant.
The two shards have created a very unusual pair of earrings, unique, one of a kind and full of history. Found by chance on a sunny day in July 2021.

Each earrings measures slightly different due to shape.
Approximately 20 mm x 8 mm x 2 mm.
Recycled Sterling Silver 925 fish hooks.

Presented on Jewellery box insert made from tall oil, a by-product of paper production.
Complete with short bio, cleaning cloth and FSC®-certified gift bag.
