I love traditional hexagonal patchwork. I wanted to try to make three dimensional items and this combination of pentagons with a hexagonal base produced this pretty bowl.

Full description

A decorative trinket bowl of pretty patchwork from vintage embroidered linen and printed cotton fabrics.

A pretty vintage embroidered linen hexagonal base, surrounded by six pentagons - three of vintage linen and three of coordinating printed cotton - form this pretty bowl. Each fabric patch is folded over a template of interfacing which remains in place in the completed bowl to add structure.

Dimensions:

Hexagon side - 4 cm approx

Width of base (point to opposite point) - 7.3 cm approx

Width of top (point to point) - 13.3 cm approx
