At the moment I have a slight obsession with this gorgeous indigo paper (bought from the Vintage Paper Co) and pebbles!
This is my loose interpretation of a collection of pebbles.
For this piece I began with a piece of already painted paper (watercolour), loosely painted in pale blue with a hint of viridian green and purple.
This time I used the indigo paper as the pebbles, cutting out the shapes and outlining each with white ink before arranging and gluing it onto the background paper.
My inspiration comes from the organic shape and arrangement of pebbles and stones and how pleasing they look arranged together, with their different sizes and shapes.
I don't think I've ever grown out of cutting and sticking as a child!! :)
