I started making this type of doll using left over fabric to match the little girls dresses that I make. They are a means of making the traditional, heritage craft of smocking more accessible.

This sweet and simple little rag doll is hand made from calico with the facial features securely stitched by machine. She has brown eyes and dark brown hair made of wool and tied in two plaits, secured with fabric ties.
The removable pink floral dress features a hand smocked yoke worked in matching cotton thread and is fastened at the back with a simple tie opening. The hair and pioneer style bonnet are securely attached to the doll.
The doll measures approximately 19 cm tall.
The doll is stuffed with safety polyester stuffing and is fully washable.
