This tall pyramid shape was one of the very first things I made when I was starting out on my ceramics path and I still display that early pyramid on one of my studio shelves. I really wanted to use the shape again and making trees for Christmas seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Full description
Designed as a decorative object for the festive season but there’s no reason why it couldn’t be displayed all year round. Made with thin sheets of grey stoneware clay, imprinted with an abstract pattern. My maker’s mark is printed on a button of clay inside each piece.
Once the tree is dry, it is fired first to 1000 degrees C. Separate layers of underglaze and glaze are then painted on before it is fired for the second time, to 1200 degrees C, making it strong and durable. All underglazes and glazes are lead-free and non-toxic.
Glazed with a deep green velvet underglaze and a high-shine white glaze that has various tones within.
Made with care and attention to detail. Because everything is made and glazed by hand, each item is unique. Each tree is printed with a section of a larger pattern so the specific part of the design featured on each piece will vary.
Approximate dimensions: length of sides at base 6 cm, height 12.5 cm.
