Hello and welcome or better still welcome back to my little shop.

I hope you'll find that special thing here in the shop as I make everything by hand, welcoming the differences that these techniques bring.

So if its slick, shiny, bright colours you are looking for, that's really not happening here but warm, funny, happy creature lead pieces - you are in the right place. Step in and take a look around.

Edie and the box of knowledge, but what’s in the box? Secrets? Treasure? Wealth?

Knowing Edie, I think it’s more important than all those – it’s the thought that what’s inside holds more value than what’s on show.
.
This is a story about what we know, the things we have experienced and turned into knowledge, the things we come to understand and the power we have when we share them and use all the gathered knowledge to make the world a better place.

So come on join Edie and start sharing.

Full description

Well full description - Edie and the box of knowledge.

Inspired by recent events, folktales and of course birds, the Caretaker Birds emerged. Somewhere between a mythical creature and a crow, each has their own personality and a shared wish to bring joy and spread wellbeing.

They are hand built, with modelled features, fired to stoneware and glazed in a lovely dry but quietly flamboyant glaze.

Sharing family characteristics, they mix well but remain fiercely individual. Born in my garden workshop.

Edie, clever, knowing and holding the box firmly. The collecting sack is behind and acorns are at their feet.

Standing just under 14cm high but small is not inconsiderable.

Find more bird sculptures in my Caretaker Bird series in my shop, as well as other creatures inspired by folklore, folk art and storytelling.

I try to work in a sustainable manner and recycle and reuse packaging material but not at the risk of damage in transit.

Free shipping to the UK, please note I am only posting to UK at the moment.
