After years of not really wearing or making earrings because they were covered by my shoulder length hair, lack of haircuts due to lockdowns and other restrictions means I now have long hair which is invariably scraped back into a scrunchie. Staring at my own head and shoulders on endless video call meetings and chats means I've become obsessed with the extravagant, colourful and characterful earrings I can now wear, and these and my other earrings in the collection are the result.
These earrings began with the beads - I pulled out some of my favourite Miyuki Delica colours and finishes to make a really summery, retro mix which reminded me of classic ice cream pastels, and then designed the pattern and shape around it. The beads are picked up on a fine needle one at a time and woven into a stiff fabric using a specialist thread, using a beadweaving technique called peyote stitch. They're really fun to make and wear.

Full description
A pair of lovely diamond shaped dangly beadwoven earrings in white and a retro acid pastelly ice creamy multicoloured mix, hand beadwoven by me in two reversed colourways - either a coloured moon on a white background or a white moon on a coloured backgrounc.
These earrings are hand stitched using the finest Japanese Miuyki Delica precision glass beads, and hang from a rose gold plated ear-wire. They are 2 cm (0.8") wide and 7.4cm (2.9")long (measured from the top of the ear-wire). Each pair is unique - I never repeat the same colour combinations so you can be certain that no-one else will be wearing them.
These earrings will arrive packaged in an hand made envelope, ready for you to give as a gift or enjoy yourself.
