Full description
This one of a kind wooden diorama picture features a deer wandering through a forest. The surface pattern is created using mostly screenprinting with some handpainting to create a completely unique look. It is inspired by my love of nature and wildlife, and my fascination with stage sets and the creation alternative little worlds.
The design comes from original drawings which have been transformed into layers of laser cut wood, which I have then screenprinted in pinks, blues, greens and greys, and built up to form 3d layers set into a glazed stained wooden box frame. The frame measures 24cm x 24cm, and the scene itself measures 20cm x 20cm.
For photography purposes, this item is pictured without its frame glass in order to see the details clearly.
