I have a fusing kiln, I have glass, I have an addiction to making beautiful glass pieces.
I hope you like what I have made.
Please note that these pieces are one-offs and unrepeatable. I can make similar but unless I make them together I cannot exactly match something already made.
I post these first class large letter in a Pip box so they will go through your letterbox.
This will make a lovely present for yourself of for someone you love and is guaranteed to be totally unique.

The dichroic glass cabochon for this brooch was handmade, by me, with love.
It was fused in my glass kiln to very high temperatures, 1500 degrees F and annealed for strength.
The brooch comprises 2 layers of carefully hand-cut fusing glass Coe 90.
At the base, a layer of coloured bullseye glass and the top, a patchwork generous arrangement of precious dichroic glass, richly coloured and patterned.
The dichroic layer rather magically reflects or refracts different colours as they catch the light.
Dichroic glass has to be the most perfect glass for a glass addict like myself. What I put into the kiln is never what comes out. I call it Magic.
Note the word Dichroic means showing different colours when viewed from different directions.
The cabachon is attached to a silver plated brooch pin back with E6000 strongest adhesive.
My brooches vary slightly in size but are all approximately 3 cm x 3.5cm. I make no promise of symmetry and they are not designed to be, they are handcut glass and glass has a mind of its own and once fusing the kiln that does its own thing too.
I post them out in a little white gift box as shown in the photos.
The last photo shows 25 brooches in all, as I make these in small batches in my little kiln. They are for sale here as separate listings. You can find them all by clicking the "Patchwork dichroic glass brooch joysofglass" tag on this listing.
