I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things that have been discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each titled piece comes with bio of where the ceramic came from, known history, original information and when the artwork was created. Some ceramics collected are used as found, while others are cut randomly which will shape the final picture. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Created from ceramic discovered in
Penrith Charity Shop October 2021
Re-Created into a Decoration October 2021
I visited Penrith on 13th October, a lovely market town in Cumbria where I found some interesting pieces of ceramic in the charity shops. Some were rescue plates from odds and ends boxes, cracked or badly damaged and others were stand out pieces, slightly damaged and perfect for a new project.
Under a table I found a chipped plate with an idyllic country scene, part of the patten had broken off, its a standard wall plate, no great quality but looked like it needed to be rescued.
This piece show 2 farmers driving sheep with a lovely house in the background, soft gentle colours. Front glaze in tact, rear and sides sanded but still show visible marks, left intentionally and adds to the character.
The hanging decoration would make a great moving present or Christmas tree decoration, although the back has been sealed to stop dust it still can be written on with a permanent marker pen – you can personalise with a date or short message.
The idea is to create something new from old, found by chance. The finished piece isn't meant to be perfect or highly polished but instead to retain some of the original character.
Delivered in recycled packaging and includes gift box, small brown gift bag and short bio.
Measures approximately 51mm x 32 mm x 2mm
Hanging on 50cm recycled twine
