These buttons are all about the glazes. They are so beautiful that they need no other adornment.

Full description
These round buttons were handcrafted and fired in my small home studio. They were glazed with two different glazes and slightly overlapped to produce a ‘half and half’ effect with a subtle stripe down the middle. One side is a smoky purple colour and the other is a textured effect amber (smooth to the touch). As each individual button is handcrafted, no two buttons will be exactly the same.
The buttons are approximately 27mm in diameter and 2-3mm thick.
The buttons are bisque fired before being glazed. They are then fired a second time to stoneware temperature which gives them great strength and allows them to be machine washed. The sides and backs are not glazed, leaving them with a natural ceramic finish.
