A stained glass suncatcher handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

The suncatcher is an owl and he is really very cute.

I've christened this owl Henry. You are of course most welcome to call it whatever name you want.
It is 5 inches tall and 3.5 wide.

I've used dark brown streaky glass for his body and some shiny white for extra movement and his eyes are little beads with a twinkle.

He has ears made of twisted wire and he is sitting on a leafy branch waiting for his dinner.

His dinner is also sitting on the branch but Henry hasn't spotted that little mouse yet, he's too busy scanning the fields so the mouse may just get away with it !

He's been having a rough day as I've given him curly feathers on his head, made from wire. He looks as if he's flown through a hedge backwards and he probably has.

He would make a super present for anyone and especially for someone who likes owls.
The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top of the owl.

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.
