I made a little match striker pot to solve a problem for a friend who often uses tealights and scented candles. She regularly misplaced the matches! I made her a pot similar to these that she keeps on her mantelpiece.

Full description
Little handthrown pot for storing and striking matches. Different designs available . (the handpainted matches design is SOLD OUT) The pot was thrown off the hump on my potter's wheel in white earthenware clay with lines etched into the side to enable the lighting of matches.
Once dry the pot was fired to bisque and glazed with white pink or grey glaze or handpainted with matches and then clear lead-free glaze before firing once more.
