Full description
An original, abstract depiction of the wild, ever-changing Icelandic landscape, which I was lucky enough to visit in 2018.
The colours of the Icelandic landscape are often blurred by rapid and energetic weather changes; snow flurries bluster in, followed by rain, then sun, then cloud.
This work is created in wool felt - some of it was brought back from my trip to Iceland. I have laid tencel fibres on top of wool - these fibres are distorted as the wool felts and the effect created suggests the energy of the weather.
This piece is sent to you mounted and in a premium black frame, suitable for desk or wall display. It will sit perfectly in a cosy spot in your home. Its neutral colour scheme makes it a perfect gift for any lover of the great outdoors!
The piece is adhered to a white 6"x 6" mount with 4"x 4" aperture. It is then displayed in a 6" x 6" deep shadow box frame, to show off the textures of the work.
The frame is suitable for standing or wall mounting.
When you proceed to checkout, you will be invited to select your choice of black or white frame.
Please note, the frame's glass was removed for photography but will be supplied with purchase.
