Full description
Lariat necklace featuring a glorious mixture of beads in strong shades of orange, turquoise and lime green. The beads include large painted wood flowers, felt balls, glass and wooden beads, antique silver tone flower, bird and leaf beads, finished at the ends with silver tone leaf charms, all strung on a waxed linen thread. This necklace also features a special orange glass bead, handmade locally in Hampshire by Nadege de la Garde. The large felt balls are patterned with spirals in a contrasting colour.
Every necklace I make is unique however this one is similar to my lariat that has recently been worn by the Swedish designer Gudrun Sjoden.
The large wood flowers are approx 30mm and the felt balls are 30mm in diameter. The whole necklace is approx 108 cm long.
Please note that this is a lariat style necklace and so has no clasp. It fixes securely in place by passing one end over the other. The beads hold it in place with no need for a knot. There are a number of ways and places it can be worn... try looping once or twice round the neck, or wrapping around the wrist, or even wear like a belt at the waist.
The wooden flowers are hand painted which adds to the charm so please don’t expect a flawless factory finish!
Please note postage costs are higher than usual for this item due to the size of the felt balls (too wide to post as a letter!).
