Full description

A magical Winters themed matchstick holder and striker in 'A Winters Night' glaze. Stunning snowy scene with Bluey green skies that remind me of the northern lights, with 22 carat gold stars to the night skies. Please note due to the wonderful nature of handmade each piece varies in final look, the magic of the kiln firing results in lessmore hues of green on the skies and lessmore brown speckle, it is truly a delight at each kiln reveal.

Striker paper to base for safety matches, non safety matches can be struck at the base rim. Matches not included. 9cm red or pink matches look very effective.

Made in my West Cornwall studio, Sparrows Nest.

Hand formed with stoneware clay. I roll the clay and formed the pot my hand, allow to dry for a week before the first firing (bisque). I then glaze the pot and refire to 1220 degrees Celsius. This is a luxury glazed item so I then add the real gold lustre to the glazed pot and refire.

Extra striking paper for future can be brought readily online.
