Hand Formed Joyful Pottery

ABOUT US

'pinching and moulding the clay purely by hand and forming it into something that brings others joy is something very special'

Cara and Andrew Fitzmaurice are hand building potters based in Cornwall.

In a world of mass produced objects they create space for the joy of unique, hand formed pieces that are made with love and inspiration from the natural world.

Their work is charming with its simple free forming, organic and open designs. Authentic rustic handmade pottery where perfectly imperfect makes are celebrated, connecting the product to the makers and process, as well as creating an organic and unique look. The Japanese principal of Wabi-Sabi honours imperfections and this underpins the brand.

They don't have to look far for their inspiration which is often from the West Cornwall, whether that's the earthy heathlands, the enchanting woodlands, the calm south coast or rugged north coast.

Cara and Andrew left careers in nursing and in business of 25 years and followed their hearts to live a gentle, slow and authentic creative life in 2020/21. They 'hope to bring joy to others through pottery'.
