ABOUT US
'pinching and moulding the clay purely by hand and forming it into something that brings others joy is something very special'
Cara and Andrew Fitzmaurice are hand building potters based in Cornwall.
In a world of mass produced objects they create space for the joy of unique, hand formed pieces that are made with love and inspiration from the natural world.
Their work is charming with its simple free forming, organic and open designs. Authentic rustic handmade pottery where perfectly imperfect makes are celebrated, connecting the product to the makers and process, as well as creating an organic and unique look. The Japanese principal of Wabi-Sabi honours imperfections and this underpins the brand.
They don't have to look far for their inspiration which is often from the West Cornwall, whether that's the earthy heathlands, the enchanting woodlands, the calm south coast or rugged north coast.
Cara and Andrew previously worked in nursing and in business for 25 years. They now make small batch pottery from their home studio. They 'hope to bring joy to others through pottery'.
OUR VALUES

Like many of us Cara and Andrew are on a journey to minimise their carbon footprint, this too extends to their business. They currently use the sun to support the studios power use, harvest rainwater which is used in the making process, mainly make to order, they recycle clay, embrace electric travel, live a plantbased lifestyle and use eco friendly packaging as much as possible.
