Welcome to my shop of unique, handmade jewellery and ornaments.
I work in glass enamel on a copper base. I buy the copper shapes and then build up and fire the multiple layers of enamel that decorate them. There is always a layer of enamel on the reverse. This balances the tension to which the decorated surface may be subjected as layers are added to it. It also means that generally there is bare copper only on the edges of the shape or where it has been scraped away allow me to solder a brooch bar.
POSTAGE I send all orders by Royal Mail, first-class, signed for. I charge postage at a flat rate and only on the first item of your order.
Where possible I recycle packaging.
I am happy to consider special requests and commissions. Contact me through folksy.
If you experience any difficulty in placing an order please let me know.
I added layers of clear enamel and then a single layer of dark blue to the copper disc that forms the base of this brooch. I then scattered red, white and gold on the blue, added a small red and white millefiore bead and drew a steel tip through the surface of the red hot enamel to generate the unique, random pattern you see.
The brooch is 42mm in diameter. I have soldered a 26mm brooch bar to the reverse. The pin secures with a rotating catch.
The millefiore bead is at the seven o'clock position on the circle.
Your brooch will be sent, carefully packed, by Royal Mail first class, signed for.
