The wild landscapes of the Peak District with their windswept moors, rugged gritstone tors and escarpments provide a welcome escape from our towns and cities, a vital space to breathe and reflect. My work is inspired by the sketches I make and the photos I take while I'm walking there. I often go back to the same places, trying to capture the energy and changing mood of the landscape, whatever the season.
