Labradorite is a semi-precious gemstone which is called the "dreamers' stone" and has the most unusual quality of being able to produce flashes of intense purple, blue, green and gold light from its warm pewter grey base colour. These unexpected colours are very difficult to photograph and are at their best in strong sunlight or under electric lighting. This minimalist design uses a pair of labradorite gemstone beads contrasted with a solo bead in order to create dramatic tension out of simplicity. Each crystalline gem is mounted on wrapped loops of thick, highly polished sterling silver wire and features ear fixings hand crafted in my East Sussex workshop. Each earring measures 47 mm or 1 3/4" in length.
They are presented in a decorated black card gift box that can be recycled if desired.
