Proseprints is keen to be green, our printed greeting cards are on recycled paper, with bio-degradable cellos, we use paper based packaging and are introducing non-plastic packaging for protecting artwork. We also support a local conservation charity, donating money from the sales of our cards and artwork.
A poem about a fox in her fox gloves and then realising how many of our favourite garden flowers and plants include the names of animals and insects. There are lots of them, it makes a good travel game or trivia quiz question! The overall design was inspired by book covers of vintage paperbacks and 1930/40's travel posters and we added the botanical name.
We have linked up with a local environmental charity - Torrington Commons Conservators and will donate £5 from the sale of this artwork. Commons Conservators, most of whom are volunteers, care and maintain 365 acres of land surrounding the town of Great Torrington. Providing enjoyment and relaxation to local people and visitors with free walking access to glorious country and riverside and a wonderful protected environment for wildlife and flora. Full description
Catnip is one of a set of original artworks. Celebrating the common names of well loved flowers that include an animal or an insect. Brightly coloured and playful and perfect to decorate your favourite wall or shelf. The grey tabby cat in the artwork looks particularly happy with its eyes closed no doubt overtaken by the smell of the catnip!
It is an original hand painted monoprint from a lino block and printed on a hand press. It is signed and titled in pencil by the artist.
The print is supplied in a textured in a natural white mount.
It is a variable edition; every hand painted print is unique.
Mount size: to fit a frame measuring 10 by 8 inches.
Printed on Fabriano paper using water based inks.
Colour fixed using a water based craft spray.
The colour may vary slightly from the image.
