Inspired by the many alliums that grow in my garden (I've been a bit creative with the colours!)
I’ve been working with glass for 18 years now. Ever since I first picked up my chosen glass and glass cutter, I’ve been hooked. I am fascinated by the properties of glass, the array or colours and the processes that that can be used to create different effects. There is always something new to learn and new tools and materials to invest in. It really is addictive!
What I especially love about working with glass are the colours. From crystal clear to shimmery dichroic to opaque pure blocks of colour that will never fade or dull.
I hope I’ve made you curious about the wonderful world of glass too!

Samples and seconds sale.
......The reason it is a second is because the left hand tree trunk slightly slipped in the kiln, so sits a bit lower than the right hand one. This doesn't really effect the overall piece, but I am discounting it (£20, reduced to £15)........
Fused glass woodland suncatcher. I've used different tones of green in my fused glass suncatcher inspired by the woodlands that grow in our beautiful countryside.
To make it, I used art glass and cut 2 pieces of transparent glass the same shape and size. I then hand cut foliage shapes from very thin copper foil with a scalpel and added it to the art glass. I then added black glass trunks and green glass tree canopies and placed it all in the kiln to fuse slowly overnight. Once completely cooled, I then added coloured glass dots which I have made previously to give some added interest to the design. A second firing at a slightly lower temperature is done overnight the next day to tack fuse the dots onto the design, so that they stand proud of the glass, giving it a 3D effect. Finally, I drilled holes and added the hanging wire.
Comes ready to hang on a silver wire.
Size: 9cm x 6.5cm.
Item comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string. A gift message can be included, just contact me to let me know.
