The Story Behind Them
This year I decided to just one design, but to design something that could have a 3D handmade element! And so I came up with Rudolph and His Friends - nine cheeky reindeer on one card, all with hand-finished noses!
First of all, I drew the reindeer design, and then copied it onto brown paper 18 times (9 with the antlers and 9 without!) I then cut all of these out, and stuck them to the blue background. before scanning them in and handing over to my printers, Sixprint.
The cards will be printed by a small business based in Cornwall, on beautiful textured 280gsm card. The card is FSC Certified, pH neutral, long-life certified, and chlorine and heavy metal free. Sixprint also support the Woodland Trust project - they use only carbon captured papers, and every card bought helps the Woodland Trust with its protection and maintenance of British woodland.
