Sometimes I get an idea and want to get it down as a painting composed from various elements and this is one of them, where I have collected elements and photos to work from and created an oil painting of them arranged together.
I often pass a little tree hanging out of a garden which is always filled with little sparrows and is the inspiration for this piece. When I came up with the idea I was also obsessing over yellow roses! Although it is not a very yellow rose in this piece I have included a rose of some sort with fuchsias too, giving away the time of year being full Summer.
